India Lockdown 2020 - Probable Reasons

Since 1st January 2020, I was thinking on some topic to inaugurate my blog for the new year. But as I would think or start to write, I would get distracted. Somehow, I would never be able to write the new year post & wish my readers Happy New Year 2020 as I would do every year. 

Time passed by & the new year became a month old. I thought, lets write in February. In that month I shot for my lecture through NPTEL platform, an experience, which I will always remember. Almost 1.5 years of hard work & lots of practice finally yielded good results. As usual, a few words of appreciation about the IIT Bombay campus which was out of the world. Never looked like the place belonged to Bombay (Mumbai). The studio was awesome & I felt like I was just about to read prime time news. The technology was awesome too as it could hide each & every flaw of mine. And the staff, extremely cordial.

But has the technology advanced to a level, that would hide almost every single human flaw & reset the nature as it ideally should be? 

Since my childhood days I have been hearing that the western world is highly progressive. They are technologically advanced in almost every sector. The people living there are highly intellectual. They co-operate with their respective governments. Their roads are clean. Their Governments work efficiently.... etc etc. Some geographic places where even worth visiting for the scenic beauty, historical importance, for the local markets & for knowing the local lifestyle. 

People would take pride in telling their social contacts about the places they visited around the world. More the places visited, the person would be considered well traveled & well informed about what is going around the world. More international languages learned & spoken, badda vatt padta hai.

If people must have noticed, in higher grade hotels under the breakfast section, there is also an item named "English Breakfast" which would actually serve very basic items like bread, eggs, milk etc.

All these years Indians of various sects have taken attempts to reach different parts of the world, especially places which are inhabited by the white people. Its another matter of pride to have settled in Canada, USA, UK, Italy etc. The person is earning in dollars or pounds whose value has always been higher than the Indian rupee. Some Indians staying in India would say, "My son or daughter has settled in The US" & others would say, "I recently visited this country in Europe & it has an extremely systematically running government. Unlike India, sabhi jago par gandagi (dirt) aur corruption hai". 

I have seen many Indians (close relatives included) who always wanted their children to study abroad which then would be an easy option for them to settle abroad too. (Apart from student exchange programs, how many Europeans have studied & the permanently settled in India [as compared to Indians going there & settling?] & black people coming & staying illegally for work or both whites & blacks entering states mainly Goa & few others for drugs). But Indians feel proud in acquiring higher degrees from these White dominated countries. 

But currently the situation is somewhat funny. With the Corona virus outbreak, somehow people started finding a light in India. These people, the so called NRI's who settled abroad conveniently, had gone there to take the advantage of their prosperity. Many sent their children to study various subjects. And now all of a sudden, because the outbreak occurred & spread fiercely in these countries, people started coming back to India, bringing the infection with them & thus causing an outbreak & spread in India too. All of a sudden, The India, which has remained dirty & corrupted for them, has started appearing as an all time savior. These people are now expecting the already corrupted Indian government to take care of them.

There also has been a habit of the Indians to reach out to the Chinese goods (which has reached every corner of the Indian market) because of their attractiveness & much lesser cost. The habit which just does not go, no matter what. And now in the name of accident, China has been successful in disrupting the economy of most of the countries all over the world with its deliberately irresponsible and behavior.

I guess, its time that Indians have to realize that they need to work for India. India, already has a lot goodness, which is somehow not seen by its own people. Its now that the time has come to be united, realize & work for the country.
