Parents performance for children's admissions.

In yesterday's newspaper of Mumbai Mirror, 10/9/09, there is an article which states that parents of children who want admissions in schools have to answer certain questions. Based on the answers of the parents the children would be selected. I guess the issues of parents giving interveiws have been going on since a long time. I dont favour this kind of selection system. The qusetions asked were e.g. 1.) What is WADA? 2.) Some public awareness which has been advertized. 3.) Indian counterpart of Hilliary Clinton. 4.) Governer of Maharashtra. Etc Etc. According to what was shown in the article majority would have not known the ans to the questions asked. Out of more than 700 applicants they wanted to admitt only a selected few. So they used this kind of tecnique. How much this system is actually helpful & would work is the biggest doubt that is occupying my mind. And the children who arent selected, alternatives for them should be given too. I want everyone's veiw on this.

if you hvae money, you can get your kid's admission done...this could bejust a brainwash..
Yes ur right this just could be a brain wash. But what about the children who arent selected & probably their parents would not even have the money. So I guess the only option left for such people is to go to muncipalty schools. Bias exists everywhere.
