Hong Kong - Ngong Ping - A New Place, a Post.

Here I come again with a new post to describe a new place Ngong Ping. (Readers to remember that this is my last post on Hong Kong & I am almost a month late in writing this post).

A good place to visit. But one thing that is worth mentioning that every time we visit a some public place in Hong Kong, these chinkee's line up everywhere. The chinkee's all over the world seem to come together in just all the places we seem to go. But anyways, forgetting about the line, I move to describing the actual post.

We went to Ngong Ping from Harbour Plaza Metroplolis (our hotel) via taxi. Now to the readers, if you are visiting Hong Kong, then please inquire about shuttle services & buses which would be much cheaper. Taxi becomes much costlier at times especially if the place of visit is far from the place where 1 stay's.

We reached Ngong Ping & after the much awaited wait in the lie bought a ticket (much cheaper then other places) for the standard cable car. The ride in the cable car was for around 20 - 25 minutes but the view (airport, greenery, sea port etc) was good. We reached the other side where Gautama Buddha statue was located. As we reached Ngong Ping we 1st went to a gift shop & brought gifts. Walked ahead to climb around 100 steps to see the statue of Gautama Buddha & then climbed down again. We then went to a local restaurant. Ate our afternoon meal & enjoyed the surroundings. After we finished eating we were back in line for a return journey via cable car. Line, Line, Line.

Other places we visited were Mong Kok shopping center where we shopped & bargained. It seemed to me that I was visiting fashion street in Mumbai. Also one could see the contrast in lifestyle. The sellers who sold in the in this market & the people who brought in the market. If one does not visit this market or such similar places in Hong Kong, a foreigner would always believe that Hong Kong is all white with everything as beautiful as the lights displayed. Visit to such places would give the correct idea of the city's blackness.

There were many other places were we visited but the main places have been described by me. I recommend a traveler to visit Hong Kong but remember - COMPANY MATTERS.
