Narendra Modi
By reading the title you definitely must have known about him. He is the current Chief Minister of India. He needs no introduction. His work is known to the entire India & probably the world too. His mention in my blog is because I heard his session on India Today Conclave 2011, 19-03-2011.
What I heard was extremely pleasing to my ears. I guess what he said is what he has done for the up liftment & success of Gujarat state in India. He was expressing certain words which were exactly what I thought should happen in India.
I heard very little of his session but these are the points on what I heard & I wouldn't agree more.
The points are,
The attitude that nothing can happen in India & the people thinking that what will the government do, has to be changed.
He in Gujarat promoted people with knowledge rather than skill. I totally agree. Promoting people with knowledge & ideas would lead to increase in employment & development & progression of the statement. This would also lead to increase in the state's revenue.
He did not like the falling number of girl child. Hence he promoted girl child which lead to increase in the female population.
Good agricultural growth was developed by him.
He believes in developing best teachers. He says as Indian entrepreneurs, engg. & MBA graduates are picked up by the different parts of the world, India should, apart from building infrastructures, should also produce good teachers. Then there would be demand for Indian teachers through out the world. Good teachers help build better future.
He lives in the present & when asked about his chances of becoming Prime Minister of India, he said that he rather concentrate on the development of his state than think of something that is a remote possibility of the future.
When asked to comment on 2002 riots, he chose to speak less on the topic but said that terrorist incidences & local unrest has reduced to 0 since then.
He also commented on electoral reforms, like elections should be conducted through out India on the same date which could save money. He said that a person elected should show results in the 5 years of his tenure. If the results are not adequate that party should not be given a chance again to contest elections. The party which is selected the people should finish the 5 year tenure with good results.
These was a small summary on what I heard. I liked it & hope some ideas are taken by the other ministers of India. Hope the politicians work for the betterment of the country in the true sense.

He has just used a method of war, either in form of words or physical force.
The basic ideal of Gandhiji, nonviolence, is non-existent in Mr. Raj Thackeray's dictionary. Hope he can claim somewhere in the future that I have done this & Maharashtra & Mumbai have progressed this much since then.
