Banana




By the title you must be thinking that why a post on banana. But I thought to write periodicals on some most natural, what most people call Ayurveda, products. Hence I thought of write one today.
  1. Banana is the most commonly available fruit & has a lot of nutritional value.
  2. Banana contains a lot of vitamins like Vitamin A, Folic Acid, Vitamin B in the form Thiamine, Riboflavin & Niacin. These vitamins are useful for vision & the nervous system.
  3. They are the natural source of potassium & useful in patients with hypertension.
  4. They provide enough energy  for a strenuous 90-minute workout.
  5. Banana milkshake with honey: - Helps to relieve hangover. Banana calms the stomach. It along with honey repletes the low sugar levels & milk helps to rehydrate the body.
  6. Bananas are rich in fiber content & also contain pectin, a soluble fiber (hydrocolloid). Hence it helps to restore the normal bowel function & bowel movements.
  7. Banana is soft in texture & easily digestible & hence recommended for people suffering from ulcers because of its ability to neutralize the acidity.
  8. It is the natural source of iron hence making it a natural treatment for anemia by helping in restoring hemoglobin.
  9. It contains an amino acid called Tryptophan, which relaxes a person & helps in improving a persons mood. Hence they act as mood enhancers.
  10. Taking bananas in between meals helps in maintaining blood sugar levels & also helps in avoiding blood sugar levels.
Apart from the above mentioned nutritional values it is also helpful in treatment of people who have by accident engulfed certain solid objects. It helps in binding the object & hence acts as a binding agent a property which helps treatment of certain cases of poisoning cases.

Banana & its tree's leaves are considered auspicious & are a part of many pooja's & prayer ceremonies in India as well as some other countries.


Many people in South India consume their food making a banana leaf their dish on which they put their food.


Many people relish banana and many of its dishes. Banana  bhajia's are fried, consumed & relished by many. Banana chips are favorite time pass for many people.

Hence Bananas are the most relished fruit in many countries including India.
